Rigoletto Stockholm - Sweden's premier cinema reborn

The venerable cinema theatre Rigoletto at Kungsgatan, Stockholm, first opened in 1939. The original design was by Rolf Engströmer, a leading represenative of "Swedish Grace", the Swedish interpretation of the Art Deco style, influenced equally by the old romantic classicism and the emerging functionalism.

Today, Rigoletto is the most important gala venue of Svensk Film, SF (Scandinavia's largest cinema owner and operator). Stylt Trampoli have completed an extensive renovation, upgrading this venerable theatre to create the ultimate gala backdrop.

"We are very proud of the results with the new Rigoletto," says Jonas Yngfalk, operating manager at SF Bio. "We've created a locale where the cinema experience as a whole gives a sense of luxury, with a restaurant and all the best of everything when it comes to comfort and technology."

The renovated cinema offers 937 seats in four cinemas, plus a fully licensed VIP balcony serving snacks and drinks during films. The staircases have been repaired with matching marble, and the restrooms have been upgraded to a level of luxury to match the rest of the venue.
