The Well, Oslo, Norway

The Well, Scandinavia's largest free-standing wellness facility, brings together spa experiences from around the world. Stylt was tasked with developing concepts for the "dry" spaces and designing the graphics, including the logotype, for this destination experience located about 20 minutes outside of Oslo. The challenge was to create global settings that would suit all people and every mood in a new, social spa environment, but with an element of surprise.

The three-storey, adult-only spa embraces all manner of rituals and bespoke experiences includung a Japanese bathhouse and Norway’s first onsen garden; a Moroccan rhassoul; a Northern Light laconium; a Turkish hammam; a jungle sauna; a crystal bath; and a two-storey loft sauna, one of only a few of its kind in Europe, as well as garden areas, relaxation lounges, 11 pools, 25 treatment rooms, two bars, a café and a 250-cover restaurant with additional outdoor seating for 100 guests.

The Well is all about escapism; providing people with the opportunity to go anywhere in the world, experience different spa cultures, and also enjoy core elements on a social level, like the bar and restaurant. It's a place where modern Norwegian architecture melds with ancient spa traditions.
