In 2020, Stylt turned a former residence of generations of lighthouse keepers into a small and truly personal boutique hotel. Located on a tiny isolated and windswept island on the Swedish Westcoast, the house was built in 1868 simultaneously with the lighthouse - Pater Noster.
Creating the concept for the interior design, Stylt used the dramatic story of the island, its past inhabitants and the surrounding nature. As part of the project, Stylt Art Director Andreas Hagersjö designed a unique wallpaper for the hotel’s living room. Since opening, Pater Noster has won some of the world’s finest design awards.
Now, in collaboration with Rebel Walls, Andreas and Stylt created a whole collection of wallpapers, inspired by this storm swept and rugged place. Called “Windswept by Stylt”, it catches the spirit of the isolated island, its lighthouse and surrounding nature.
